I am pleased to announce to our membership that Nominations are now open for the following positions:

Western Regional Trustee
Please submit your nominations for these positions directly to me at: email@example.com and send a cc to the following email address: firstname.lastname@example.org
All nominees must be current 2018 dues paid members of BPA. So, please check with your respective nominee(s) to see if they are current with their dues prior to submitting their names. Nominees cannot be accepted who are not current with their dues even if they elect to pay them after they have been nominated. They should be paid prior to being nominated to be considered eligible.
Nominations will be open for submissions until June 20, 2018 and any nominations received after 11:59pm on that date will not be considered. Your nominee will be contacted by the Nominating Committee to ascertain their interest in serving in the office for which they are being nominated. If interested, then they must submit a jpeg photo and nomination statement of how they see their role and what they will offer to the BPA. These documents must be received via email no later than June 30, 2018.
The Nominating Committee will meet prior to the July Executive Committee meeting to prepare the ballot for submission to the Executive Committee for a vote at its July 2018 meeting. Candidates will be notified after the approval and will be encouraged to campaign for their respective nominated positions during the months of August and September.
Ballots will be distributed during the first week of September after the Labor Day Holiday and electronic voting will be open until September 30, 2018 ending at 11:59pm. Ballots received after that time will not be counted. Vote tally will take place during the first week of October and results posted on the BPA website by the end of the second week of October. Swearing in of newly elected officials will take place at the fall Transcultural Psychiatry Meeting in November and those newly elected officials will attend the December Executive Committee Meeting, declare their “Conflict of Interest” statements and officially take office January 1, 2018.
We encourage all BPA Members to please nominate qualified and motivated candidates for the important work of our Association. Thank You!
